Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green misses with an uppercut. Kowalevitz saw that one coming.
Kowalevitz is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
No luck for Kowalevitz with that takedown attempt.

Kowalevitz shoots for a double leg takedown but Green sprawls well. He's pushed Kowalevitz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kowalevitz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Green walks away with a smile on his face. Kowalevitz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Kowalevitz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Green just stands there and leans against the cage.

Green manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Bobby Green.

Kowalevitz feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Green is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Kowalevitz dives into side control.
Green knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kowalevitz on the ground.

Kowalevitz is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Green looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kowalevitz gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Green is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kowalevitz lets go of the hold and Green can pop his arm back in it's socket.
