Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Min-Sik Song (ranked 427 p4p, 57 weight class) and Kareem Dennis (ranked 1281 p4p, 169 weight class). Song comes to the cage accompanied by nkoha - Akatsuki. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Min-Sik Song!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Kareem Dennis !
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Song lands with a right hand.
Dennis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Song as he jumps to the side.
Song works the jab nicely.
Dennis takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Song throws a leg kick which misses Dennis 's front leg but catches the back leg as Dennis tries to avoid it.
Dennis shoots in for a takedown but Song shows good takedown defense.
Dennis looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Song lands a body shot.
Song stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Song wants it to stay on the feet.
Min-Sik Song has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kareem Dennis .

No luck for Dennis with that takedown attempt.
Song lands a nice shot that snaps Dennis 's head back.

Dennis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Song is fending him off so far but Dennis persists. Nope, Song circles away and we're back to standing.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Dennis is rocked!

Dennis feints and as Song raises his hands in defense, Dennis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dennis is still in real trouble! Can Song finish him?
Song has Dennis pulled in close to control his posture.
Dennis slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Dennis goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Song has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dennis but great work by Song.

Dennis tries to bench press Song off him but Song keeps the position.
The referee asks Song politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Song prefers to stall for the moment though.

Song looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Song jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Song catches Dennis with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Dennis takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Dennis stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Song.
Song lands with a hook. Dennis tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Dennis takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Song turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Dennis dives in and grabs Song's left leg, looking for a takedown. Song pushes down on Dennis 's head and hops out.

Min-Sik Song has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kareem Dennis .
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dennis closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Dennis goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Song rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dennis 's guard! Nice work there by Song!

Dennis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Min-Sik Song.
Well Song has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Min-Sik Song was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
