ORC Submission Grappling 3 PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Ewen Davis (ranked 349 p4p, 34 weight class) and Jiu Jitsu (ranked 1522 p4p, 170 weight class). Davis kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Atreyu-Ex's and oh's. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 2 losses; Ewen Davis! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Jiu Jitsu!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Jitsu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Davis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Davis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jitsu is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Davis pulls his head out easily.
Jitsu is trying to get back to full guard.
Well, if Davis is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Davis is looking to stall here but Jitsu recovers full guard.

Davis avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Davis is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Davis trying to control the position from guard on top but Jitsu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Jitsu throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Davis escapes and throws Jitsu's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Davis has managed to slip his arm under Jitsu's chin. This could be all over... yep, Jitsu is tapping out! Submission win for Davis.
