Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Dom Danky (ranked 3468 p4p, 369 weight class) and James Penn (ranked 2777 p4p, 300 weight class). Penn has chosen Everything in its right place as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Dom Danky had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 3 losses; Dom Danky! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 7 losses; James Penn! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Albert Achterberg.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Danky shoots in looking for a takedown but Penn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Danky's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. And Penn tries to counter it with a takedown but Danky pushes his down on his head and steps out. Danky shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Penn tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Danky shoots in for a takedown but Penn shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dom Danky. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck for Danky with that takedown attempt. Penn drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Danky defends it well. Penn leaves Danky with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Penn feints the counter takedown. Danky seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Penn does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
