Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juliano Lao Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ready to Die- Andrew WK. Lao Jr has chosen Kenny Loggins - Danger Zone as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lao Jr tries to clinch up but Alexander circles away and keeps his distance.

Jimmy Alexander seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Alexander shoots for a takedown but Lao Jr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Alexander drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Alexander has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lao Jr is proving hard to escape from.
Lao Jr has his foot on Alexander's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alexander works his way back into a safe position though.
Lao Jr is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Alexander frees his head nicely. Oh but Lao Jr has switched to an armbar! Alexander is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
