PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lalama Amana (ranked 2082 p4p, 258 weight class) and Junior Iron (ranked 1324 p4p, 161 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lalama Amana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Junior Iron!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Amana has Iron up against the cage in a clinch.

Iron breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Iron misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Junior Iron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

As Iron tries to get set, Amana tries to push him back and clinch up but Iron manages to avoid the attempt.

Amana is pressed up against the cage. Iron has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Amana down to the mat. Amana avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Iron wants to lay and pray for a moment but Amana keeps working.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lalama Amana.
Well Iron has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Junior Iron decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
