Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Kidd (ranked 5863 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Nguyen (ranked 25369 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Nguyen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyson Kidd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Nguyen !
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Eddie Farnsworth and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch! Nguyen slams his shin into Kidd's torso.
Kidd avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kidd takes one on the button.
Nguyen scores with a nice right hand.
Nguyen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kidd defends well and Nguyen ends up having to push Kidd into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Nguyen fails with the takedown.
Nguyen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kidd as he avoids it easily.
Kidd attempts a counter takedown but Nguyen avoids it well and moves away.
Tyson Kidd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Nguyen .
Nguyen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kidd is fending him off so far but Nguyen persists. Nope, Kidd circles away and we're back to standing.
Kidd looking to score a takedown here. Nguyen is defending well but Kidd drives through and ends up in Nguyen 's guard.
Nguyen wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Kidd manages to pass to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kidd stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kidd is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Nguyen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kidd. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kidd looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Nguyen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kidd tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Kidd is looking for a kimura here.
Kidd trying to control the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kidd maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Nguyen could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Kidd has cracked it and Nguyen is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Kidd!
