The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a series of strikes that have Heemeyer backpedaling.
Jones avoids the head kick by Heemeyer.
Jones lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jones.
Heemeyer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Heemeyer throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves out of range easily.
Jones avoids the head kick by Heemeyer.
Heemeyer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Heemeyer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Heemeyer takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Heemeyer is bucking up trying to escape but Jones cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
A nice elbow there by Jones.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Heemeyer flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Jones! Heemeyer is hurt baaadly! Jones is firing away with more strikes - Heemeyer is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
