Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy Conlon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trent Punchy!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punchy throws out a powerful jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Punchy, as that shot connected.
Punchy uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Punchy drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Punchy makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Conlon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Punchy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Punchy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Conlon looking for subs off his back but Punchy has passed one foot through into half guard.

Punchy seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Punchy connects with a nice short shot to Conlon's temple.

Punchy content to control rather than advance.

Conlon looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Conlon is pressing down on Punchy's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Punchy keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Conlon's head.

Conlon has his foot on Punchy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Punchy works his way back into a safe position though.

Conlon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Punchy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Punchy postures up and lands a big shot to Conlon's brow.
Punchy distracts Conlon with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Conlon has momentary wrist control but Punchy slips an elbow through the middle.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Punchy's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Conlon tries to strike from the bottom.
Punchy controlling from the top position.
Conlon throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Punchy connects with a couple of short punches.
Punchy lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Punchy with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.


Conlon is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Punchy passes into half guard.

Conlon actively working from the bottom here.
Punchy seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Oh Conlon is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Conlon is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Punchy pulls his head out easily.

Punchy is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Conlon sees it coming and defends easily.
Conlon seems to have got his legs back now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Punchy scores with a big shot! Conlon's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Conlon! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Trent Punchy!
