Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dan Sergeant (ranked 2658 p4p, 135 weight class) and Ralph Bonnano (ranked 4090 p4p, 204 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dan Sergeant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ralph Bonnano!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Alyssa Summers and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Bonnano. No joy for Sergeant on that attempt.
A left and a right from Bonnano both land. Nice combination.

Sergeant closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Bonnano is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sergeant is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sergeant has escaped and now he's on top!

Sergeant shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bonnano as he avoids it easily.

Sergeant changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bonnano looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Sergeant's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Sergeant seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bonnano for as long as he can get away with.

Sergeant goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Bonnano is on top in guard.

Sergeant got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bonnano has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sergeant has managed to get both his arms back between Bonnano's legs - danger averted.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Sergeant dives in for a single leg takedown but Bonnano sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Bonnano goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Sergeant rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bonnano's guard! Nice work there by Sergeant!
