Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Havasu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
48 - 26 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sara McSlamm! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McSlamm closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Havasu to the mat! Havasu manages to get full guard. Havasu has his hands on McSlamm's head, controlling the position. McSlamm scoring with some ground and pound. Havasu keeping full guard, as McSlamm tries to pass. McSlamm being controlled here momentarily. McSlamm with a flurry of punches that miss. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McSlamm throws a strike but Havasu rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Havasu showing good wrestling skills to control the position. McSlamm looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Havasu is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Havasu working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of McSlamm's head. Havasu is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. McSlamm avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Havasu distracts McSlamm with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Havasu looking to control the position here, rather than advance. McSlamm working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Havasu. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Havasu working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Havasu slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. McSlamm utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Havasu with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Havasu works over McSlamm with some ground and pound from guard. Havasu is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Havasu passes into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Havasu sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. McSlamm defending well though. Havasu content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. McSlamm is looking to control Havasu's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can McSlamm avoid being mounted? Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Havasu in particular looking to stall.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. McSlamm displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Havasu. McSlamm feints a counter leg kick. McSlamm should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. McSlamm looks to land a right hand but Havasu moved out of range. McSlamm tries to score a power double leg takedown but Havasu sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McSlamm somewhat. Havasu misses with the combination.

McSlamm changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Havasu drives through with a takedown into McSlamm's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Havasu dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Havasu will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. McSlamm changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. A left lands for Havasu. Mike Havasu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Havasu blocks a head kick by McSlamm.
McSlamm takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Havasu fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Havasu shoots for a takedown but McSlamm saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Havasu. That's going to take a lot out of him. Havasu swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Havasu drives through with a takedown into McSlamm's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. McSlamm pulls Havasu in to control the position. McSlamm trying to keep a closed guard but Havasu is proving a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round. Havasu trying to control the position from guard on top but McSlamm is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Havasu stays in close to McSlamm's body and controls the position. Havasu throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McSlamm works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Havasu loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Havasu is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nice sprawl there from McSlamm as Havasu shoots in. And McSlamm tries to counter it with a takedown but Havasu pushes his down on his head and steps out. Havasu shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McSlamm sprawls well. McSlamm wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Havasu gets slowly back to his feet. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - McSlamm has eaten all the pies!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Horrible takedown attempt by Havasu or perhaps it was just good defense by McSlamm, which made it look bad. And an attempted straight right on the counter from McSlamm! But no joy. Havasu decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Havasu is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McSlamm can do to turn this around? McSlamm trying to control but Havasu postures up.
McSlamm is breathing heavily. McSlamm is looking for a sweep. Havasu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Havasu with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McSlamm is trying is best to control the position here. Havasu slows the pace down in half guard. Mike Havasu overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Havasu lands a nice short elbow. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Havasu connects with a nice short shot to McSlamm's temple. Havasu controlling the action here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. McSlamm wants to improve his position but Havasu is controlling well.
Well, if Havasu is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Mike Havasu dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Havasu fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McSlamm sprawls well initially but Havasu persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Havasu is taking a breather. McSlamm says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Havasu seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down McSlamm for as long as he can get away with. McSlamm is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Havasu seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's one minute gone in the round. Havasu winds up and cracks McSlamm with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Well, if Havasu is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

McSlamm takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Havasu working over McSlamm with some ground and pound. McSlamm looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Havasu drops an elbow to the side of McSlamm's head. McSlamm is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Havasu scores with a couple of nice shots. Havasu slows the pace down in half guard. That's three minutes gone in the round. Havasu scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Havasu takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Havasu in particular looking to stall. Havasu continues to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Havasu is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McSlamm is just riding it out for now. Havasu eventually gives up the hold. Havasu is controlling the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Havasu seems to be looking for submissions.
Havasu perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Sara McSlamm has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mike Havasu is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Havasu clinches up against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Havasu showed his dominance in that final round. Well Havasu has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
