These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hai Farrell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Josh Kincaid!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kincaid closes the distance and clinches.
Farrell tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kincaid smiles and moves away.
Farrell tries to clinch up but Kincaid circles away and keeps his distance.

Kincaid clinches.
Farrell is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kincaid is defending well for now.
Farrell is trying to break the clinch but Kincaid is controlling him.
Kincaid is trying to break free.
Kincaid displaying some good clinch control by pressing Farrell up against the cage.
Nice elbow from Kincaid.


It looks like Hai Farrell has been cut.

Farrell gets control of Kincaid's arms and successfully pulls guard. Farrell will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Farrell is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kincaid advances to half guard.
Farrell is looking to improve his position.
Farrell looks like he's trying to stand up.

Farrell is looking for a sweep. Kincaid is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Farrell is working hard here to advance position.
Farrell tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Farrell wants to improve his position but Kincaid is controlling well.
Kincaid throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Farrell works his way to full guard. Good work.
Kincaid working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Farrell's head.
Kincaid trying to control but Farrell is working from the bottom.
Kincaid stopping the sweep attempt from Farrell.
Farrell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Farrell throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Kincaid escapes and throws Farrell's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Farrell tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Farrell is breathing heavily.

Kincaid looking to control but Farrell is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Farrell is in all sorts of trouble here.
Farrell wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Kincaid working for the choke.

Farrell defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Farrell trying to control the action but Kincaid just sinks the hooks in.
A lull in the action here.

Kincaid has the hooks in. Farrell is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Kincaid is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Farrell with him. Farrell is trying to defend but Kincaid has an arm under the chin now! Farrell grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Josh Kincaid!
