Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elias Jacobi (ranked 24417 p4p, 758 weight class) and Marcus Wood (ranked 23547 p4p, 810 weight class). Marcus Wood is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Elias Jacobi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Wood! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Chad Campbell and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wood throws the left hand but Jacobi avoids the punch easily. Jacobi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jacobi lands a head kick. Wood smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Wood tries a head kick but it misses.
Jacobi lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Jacobi connects with a solid leg kick. Jacobi wants to land a leg kick but Wood is out of range. Jacobi moves out of range as Wood strikes. Jacobi throws a head kick but Wood moves out of range.
Jacobi throws a head kick that Wood semi-blocks.
Wood chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jacobi can pounce on him.
Jacobi turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Wood scores with a jab to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wood lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jacobi has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jacobi and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. A lazy body kick from Jacobi and Wood connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jacobi misses with a body kick. Wood looks like he wants to counter punch here. Wood moves out of range of the body kick from Jacobi.
It seemed like Wood was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. A head kick misses from Jacobi. Jacobi throws a head kick that misses. Jacobi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A chopping leg kick lands by Jacobi. Wood fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jacobi manages to avoid it. Jacobi looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Jacobi swings away with a leg kick that misses. Jacobi tries a head kick but it misses.
Wood stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jacobi. Jacobi misses with a low kick. It seemed like Wood was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Wood has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jacobi throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Wood blocks a head kick by Jacobi.
Wood scores with a punch to the head. Jacobi lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A combination from Jacobi does no damage. Wood looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Wood swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jacobi tries to keep at a distance but Wood has taken the fight into the clinch. Wood has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Jacobi regains guard immediately. Wood content to stall in guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wood's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Wood drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wood jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Wood is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jacobi is looking to stand up but Wood isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Wood not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Wood drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Wood as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Jacobi screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Wood! Nice submission victory there!
