Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jose The Blitz (ranked 281 p4p, 36 weight class) and Eddy Scharf (ranked 1152 p4p, 127 weight class). Jose The Blitz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jose The Blitz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eddy Scharf! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jonathan Paton and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scharf swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by The Blitz. Scharf sizes up The Blitz with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. The Blitz closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Scharf did well to prevent The Blitz getting side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Scharf tries to roll over but The Blitz keeps him under control. The Blitz is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Scharf defends it well. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Scharf can do anything to dispel that myth. The Blitz slows the pace down in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Blitz uses his free foot to push down on Scharf's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Scharf. The Blitz working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. The Blitz looking to control and managing it successfully. The Blitz moves to the back position. The Blitz patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? The Blitz keeps control of the position easily here as Scharf tries to buck him off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The Blitz is working for a rear naked choke. Scharf is not defending it well and The Blitz has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Scharf refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Scharf's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jose The Blitz! Jose The Blitz spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
