Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frank Wildhauser (ranked 2672 p4p, 309 weight class) and Basil Brubaker (ranked 2333 p4p, 277 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Frank Wildhauser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Basil Brubaker!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wildhauser slips a straight right by Brubaker.
Wildhauser half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Brubaker lands a jab-cross combination.
Brubaker dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The fighters circle momentarily. Brubaker darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Brubaker throws a good cross that connects.
Wildhauser moves in looking to clinch but Brubaker pushes him off.

Brubaker tries to keep at a distance but Wildhauser has taken the fight into the clinch.
We've been hearing reports that Wildhauser has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Brubaker misses with a short punch on the inside.
Wildhauser changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Brubaker fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Brubaker scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Wildhauser has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Brubaker avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Brubaker is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Wildhauser.

Wildhauser looking to break Brubaker's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Brubaker remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Wildhauser will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
