The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkins closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Perkins's coach down at Island Safe Space was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Perkins's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Lesnar tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Perkins.
With the fighters up against the cage, Perkins throws an elbow but misses.
Perkins avoiding damage as Lesnar throws knees to the body.
Perkins tries a knee to the head but Lesnar blocks it.
Perkins is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Perkins misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Lesnar.
Perkins lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Lesnar jumps into guard, dragging Perkins to the mat.
Perkins is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Lesnar has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Perkins is looking to defend but Lesnar has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Perkins! Lesnar pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Perkins taps out and this one is all over!
