Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leonardo Bocca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Bobbet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Leonardo Bocca! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Rick Bobbet! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bobbet throws a series of punches but Bocca avoids them all with ease. Bobbet gets the takedown into side control. Bocca is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Bocca is trying to control Bobbet's posture but Bobbet avoids it. Bobbet is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bocca is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Bocca can't do much from the bottom here. Bobbet scores with punches from side control. Bocca is trying to get back to his feet. Bocca is trying to control Bobbet's posture but Bobbet avoids it. Bocca tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bobbet wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bocca is trying to get back to half guard. Bobbet wants to control but Bocca is keeping him busy. Bobbet scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Bocca to see if he's OK. Bocca tries to escape but Bobbet is in control. The ground and pound from Bobbet seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Bobbet working the head with strikes. Bobbet lands some shots froms side control. Bocca is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Bocca gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bocca works his way to full guard. Good work. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Bobbet trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Bobbet postures up in Bocca's guard and throws a big left but Bocca blocks it. Bobbet landing with the ground and pound. Bobbet looking to sit in guard and control but Bocca gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bobbet doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Bocca trying to control the position from guard on top but Bobbet is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bocca tries to stand but Bobbet is controlling from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bobbet keeping moving, preventing Bocca from controlling successfully. Bocca prevents Bobbet from getting back to his feet. Bocca won't allow Bobbet to sweep him here. Bobbet looks gassed!
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bocca throws a head kick but Bobbet moves out of range.
Bocca on the wrong end of a nice hook. Bobbet jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Bobbet swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bobbet fails with the takedown. Bobbet goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Bocca shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bobbet but Bobbet pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bobbet tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Bocca wants to clinch. Bobbet stuffs the takedown attempt from Bocca. Bocca gets slowly back to his feet. Bobbet gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Bobbet is working an open guard so Bocca takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Bobbet avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bocca moves in looking to clinch but Bobbet pushes him off. Bobbet clinches up with Bocca and pushes him back against the cage. Bobbet drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bocca goes for a takedown attempt but Bobbet pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Bobbet dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Bobbet has a takedown stuffed. Bobbet gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Bocca pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bobbet is keeping the position for now. Bobbet wants to improve his position but instead Bocca has moved into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bocca wants to work for an arm triangle but Bobbet is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Bobbet works his way to full guard. Good work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bobbet pushes Bocca off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bocca uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bobbet.
Bocca is looking to clinch. Bocca wants to clinch. Bobbet tries to clinch up but Bocca circles away and keeps his distance. Bobbet misses with a body shot.
Bocca circles away from the clinch attempt and Bocca counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bobbet! Bobbet is squirming around, avoiding Bocca's attempts to control the action. Bocca has control of Bobbet's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bobbet regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Bobbet is looking to improve his position but Bocca isn't that keen on the idea. Bocca trying to control but Bobbet is having none of it. Bobbet tries to lock up and control but Bocca gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Bobbet is squirming around, avoiding Bocca's attempts to control the action. Bobbet is working to get back to half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bobbet can do anything to dispel that myth. Bobbet throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Bobbet looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bobbet kicks Bocca off and gets to his feet. Bocca misses with a takedown attempt - Bobbet sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bobbet lands with a shot to the body. Bocca lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Nice takedown defense from Bobbet. No joy for Bocca on that attempt. Bobbet throws a lazy head kick and Bocca counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Bobbet wants to improve his position but Bocca is controlling well.

Bocca tries for a kimura but Bobbet is defending well. Bocca wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bobbet keeps working. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bobbet gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bocca seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bobbet does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Bobbet misses with some strikes from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bobbet drives through with a takedown into guard. Bobbet tries to free his leg and advance position but Bocca is retaining full guard. Bobbet trying to control the position from guard on top but Bocca is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bocca avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bocca is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bobbet is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bobbet flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Bocca prevents Bobbet from improving his position. Bocca seems to be looking for submissions.
Bobbet regains full guard. Nicely done. Bocca decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bobbet, up you get! Bocca closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Bobbet punching from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bocca lands with a punch from half guard. Bocca missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Bocca throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Bocca is figuring out what he wants to do next. Bobbet is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bocca's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bocca's back! Bobbet has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Bocca. Bocca tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Bocca is desperately trying to improve his position but Bobbet has a good base and remains in mount. Bobbet swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
