Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan McClain (ranked 587 p4p, 73 weight class) and Sir Anthony Buzzard (ranked 1284 p4p, 157 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dan McClain! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sir Anthony Buzzard! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Lou da Vinci and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buzzard tests McClain's chin there with a solid looking shot. Buzzard misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Buzzard takes a jab right on the kisser.
Buzzard throws a big shot that misses. McClain is looking to counter punch. Buzzard slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Dan McClain has been cut. McClain looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. McClain is looking to clinch but Buzzard is avoiding it.
McClain throws a body shot but no joy. Sir Anthony Buzzard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McClain swings for the body but Buzzard moves out of range.
Buzzard throws a head kick that misses. McClain is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Buzzard. A nice leg kick lands there from Buzzard. McClain keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McClain ducks under a wild hook from Buzzard. We've been informed that Buzzard has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Buzzard pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Buzzard throws a nice head kick!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McClain fails with an attempt to clinch.
Buzzard gets cracked there but stands up to it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice body punch from McClain. McClain on the wrong end of a nice hook. McClain takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. McClain throws a hook but Buzzard avoids it easily. Buzzard ducks under a wild hook from McClain. Buzzard thumps McClain with a low kick. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts McClain, as that shot connected.

McClain misses with an uppercut. Buzzard attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. McClain lands a body shot.
Buzzard staying out of range there. Buzzard is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Buzzard misses with a straight right. It looked like McClain was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. McClain tests Buzzard's chin there with a solid looking shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McClain listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Buzzard misses with a body kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buzzard slips under a jab. Buzzard connects with a high kick. Buzzard throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. McClain looks to land a right hand but Buzzard moved out of range. McClain keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

and McClain counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Buzzard is rocked! Buzzard uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McClain. McClain needs to keep his hands up - Buzzard had a free shot at his head there. Buzzard throws the left hand but McClain avoids the punch easily. Buzzard lands a nice shot to the body.
Buzzard moves away from the strike by McClain. Buzzard walks into a left hand. Buzzard is still on wobbly legs! Can McClain finish him? McClain tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Good shot there by McClain. McClain throws the left hand but Buzzard avoids the punch easily. McClain lands a nice looking body shot.
Buzzard takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. McClain circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Buzzard to the canvas! Buzzard doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - McClain keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dan McClain! Dan McClain retains his middleweight title! Dan McClain decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
