The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Spoka misses.
Pearson moves out of range of the leg kick from Spoka.
A shot to de liver by Spoka. Beautiful body shot.
Pearson gets caught flat footed, as Spoka shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Pearson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Spoka can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Pearson working for a triangle but Spoka defends it easily.
Pearson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spoka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Spoka trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Spoka accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Spoka is working Pearson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Spoka stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Pearson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Spoka drops Pearson with a left right combo! Spoka follows him down to the ground into side control.
Pearson is rocked!
Spoka is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Pearson looks calm but he's in trouble here. Spoka gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Pearson is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Spoka lets go of the hold and Pearson can pop his arm back in it's socket.
