Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Koba Wyatt (ranked 316 p4p, 30 weight class) and Quetzal Montezuma (ranked 305 p4p, 29 weight class). Wyatt comes to the cage accompanied by Channel Zero. Montezuma comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Mayan Predator kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Koba Wyatt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Quetzal Montezuma! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Montezuma dips to his left and cracks Wyatt with an uppercut! Wyatt misses with an uppercut. Wyatt blocks a jab. Wyatt looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Wyatt uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Montezuma. Montezuma clinches up against the cage. Wyatt breaks from the clinch.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Montezuma. Wyatt scores with a jab to the body. Montezuma throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Wyatt's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wyatt swings widly with a right hand
and Montezuma counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Wyatt takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Montezuma scores with a hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wyatt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Montezuma manages to avoid it. Montezuma slips under a jab. Wyatt fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Montezuma is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Wyatt with a body shot. Wyatt throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Montezuma. Wyatt throws out a loose jab but Montezuma uses good head movement to avoid it. No joy there for Wyatt, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wyatt throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Wyatt on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Montezuma lands with a right hand. Montezuma lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Montezuma lands a leg kick that knocks Wyatt off balance momentarily. Montezuma throws a poor cross that misses
and Wyatt counters with a right hand to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Montezuma lands with an overhand left. Montezuma has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Montezuma misses with a left hand and Wyatt counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Wyatt pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Wyatt. Montezuma does a little dance to reset his feet. Wyatt looks to throw the jab but Montezuma is out of range. Wyatt throws a nice looking combination but Montezuma bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Montezuma displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Wyatt throws out the jab. Montezuma feints a counter leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Montezuma looks to land a body kick but Wyatt moved away. Montezuma turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Wyatt looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Montezuma scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Wyatt moves out of range of the body kick from Montezuma.

Montezuma throws a nice inside leg kick. Montezuma misses with a hook. Wyatt appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. The fighters circle momentarily. Wyatt darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Montezuma slips a jab and a cross from Wyatt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Montezuma lands with a straight right. Wyatt didn't see that one coming. Wyatt falls off balance throwing a combination
and Montezuma counters with a nice body shot. Wyatt throws a body punch but Montezuma moves out of range. Wyatt misses with a left hand and Montezuma counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wyatt throws a jab but it's blocked by Montezuma. Wyatt scores with the left hand. Montezuma knows he should have avoided that one. Wyatt bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Wyatt is looking for a counter combo. Wyatt lands a jab-cross combination. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Quetzal Montezuma will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Montezuma tries a low kick but Wyatt avoids it. Montezuma connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Wyatt momentarily.
Montezuma misses with a lunging right hand
and Wyatt cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Wyatt takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Wyatt moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Montezuma! Wyatt continues to tee off on Montezuma, landing with a left and a right! Wyatt connects with a right hand that leaves Montezuma sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Wyatt!
