Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Neville Southall (ranked 3219 p4p, 125 weight class) and Ricky Hughes (ranked 5325 p4p, 117 weight class). Ricky Hughes is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Neville Southall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ricky Hughes! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Southall slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Ricky Hughes has been cut. Southall feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hughes's calf. Southall throws a head kick but Hughes moves out of range.
Southall lands a big head kick that sends Hughes tumbling to the mat! Southall takes a step backwards and waves Hughes back to his feet - he wants the finish! Hughes lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
It looks like Neville Southall has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Southall avoids the body shot from Hughes.
Southall moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Hughes misses the shot to the body. Southall steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hughes. Southall scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Hughes on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Hughes fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A big right from Hughes misses. Hughes throws a nice looking combination but Southall bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. An attempted straight right counter from Southall misses the target. Hughes misses the jab. Hughes's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Southall connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hughes scrambles back to his feet.
Hughes is rocked! Hughes drops his hands momentarily and Southall needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Hughes just on the top of the head. Hughes drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Hughes - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Neville Southall!
