Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Rocambole (ranked 6482 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enoch Rubio (ranked 4190 p4p, 0 weight class). Enoch Rubio has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Leonard Rocambole! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Enoch Rubio! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rubio closes the distance and pushes Rocambole back into the cage. Rocambole gets a trip takedown into half guard. Rocambole seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Rubio has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Island Safe Space. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rubio can do anything to dispel that myth. Rocambole tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Rubio. Rocambole seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rubio is defending against the submission attempts here by Rocambole.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rocambole tries to pass to full mount but Rubio defends it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rocambole trying to control the action but Rubio is working from the bottom. Rocambole could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Rubio looks like he's trying to stand up.
Rocambole is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rocambole controlling the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Rocambole lands with a punch from half guard. Rocambole works his way into side control. Rocambole trying to control the action but Rubio is working from the bottom. Rocambole tries to advance to mount but Rubio denies him. Rocambole is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rubio is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rubio is being controlled here. Rocambole misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Rubio struggling a bit here. Rocambole has knee on belly and moves into mount. Rocambole looking to finish Rubio with some ground and pound. This is bad for Rubio! Rubio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rocambole. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rocambole raining down hammerfists from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rocambole with a couple of short strikes. Rubio is looking to improve his position but Rocambole isn't that keen on the idea. Rocambole controlling the pace for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rocambole stands up from mount. Strange move. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leonard Rocambole dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Rubio tries a head kick but it misses.
Rocambole moves out of range of the body kick. Rubio looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Rocambole shoots in for a double leg but Rubio sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A decent looking body kick lands there for Rubio. Rubio rushes Rocambole and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Rocambole gets a trip takedown into half guard. Rubio on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Rocambole has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rubio is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rocambole pulls his head out easily. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rocambole lands a nice short elbow. Rubio wants to control but Rocambole is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rocambole is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Leonard Rocambole overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rubio is refusing to be controlled, as Rocambole sits in half guard. Rocambole scoring with strikes to the body and head. Rocambole is keen to just control but Rubio is a slippery customer. Rubio tries to get to full guard but Rocambole has control of the leg. Rocambole tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rubio knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Rocambole keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rubio thuds his shin into the meat of Rocambole's side. Rocambole fails with the takedown. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rocambole throws a low kick but Rubio moves out of range easily. Rubio explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Rubio rushes Rocambole and presses him up against the cage. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Rubio. Rubio lands an elbow inside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rubio lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Leonard Rocambole has been cut. Rubio lands an elbow just above Rocambole 's eye. Rubio takes control of his opponent's neck and spins him into the cage. Rocambole is off balance and as he stumbles, Rubio throws a jumping knee that lands flush on Rocambole's chin, knocking him out cold! Oh my word - what a knockout! Definitely one for his highlight reel! If he ever decides to rob a bank and run off to Morocco, that moment is defintely worthy of a tacky mural!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Enoch Rubio!
