Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Bale (ranked 1317 p4p, 201 weight class) and Guido Gloom (ranked 1030 p4p, 157 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Bale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
28 - 20 - 0, fighting out of London, Guido Gloom! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bale lands a head shot. Bale has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Bale throws a lazy uppercut
and Gloom counters with a nice double leg into guard. Gloom tries to free his leg and advance position but Bale is retaining full guard. Gloom passes Bale's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Bale is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Gloom throws a strike but Bale avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Gloom controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Gloom drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bale dives on top into guard. Gloom looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bale is one step ahead there. Bale wants to stand but Gloom is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gloom pulls Bale in close to his closed guard and prevents Bale from doing any damage or advancing position. Gloom isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bale stacks Gloom on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bale! You can see the frustration on Gloom's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gloom is looking to reverse the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bale tries to score with some ground and pound. Gloom controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Bale stands up. Gloom tries to clinch up. Gloom listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Bale stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Bale throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Gloom tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Bale misses the jab. Bale throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Bale looks to land a combination but Gloom avoids it well. Gloom throws the left hand but Bale avoids the punch easily. Bale throws a body punch but Gloom moves out of range. Bale drops Gloom with a nice combination! Bale dives into Gloom's guard, looking to finish!
Gloom is rocked!
It looks like Guido Gloom has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bale trying to control but Gloom is working from the bottom. Bale has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Gloom wants to hit a switch here but Bale passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Gloom there! Bale trying to control but Gloom is having none of it. Bale controlling from mount. Bale tries to control but Gloom wriggling away. Gloom tries to reverse the position but Bale maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bale sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Gloom really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Gloom tries to hold on but Bale pushes him away. Gloom tries to reverse the position but Bale maintains control. Bale looking to control but Gloom is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Bale controlling the pace for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Bale dominated that round. The cut man is working on Guido Gloom's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Bale looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bale throws a looping overhand right but Gloom ducks down to avoid it. Bale cracks Gloom with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Bale looks to land a right hand but Gloom moved out of range. It seemed like Gloom was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Bale throws the left hand but Gloom avoids the punch easily. Gloom feints the counter takedown. Gloom has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bale. Bale rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gloom cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Gloom lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Bale misses with the combination.
A little jabbing left from Gloom on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. A telegraphed right hand from Bale misses the target. Bale misses with a few strikes there.
Gloom slips a straight right by Bale. Gloom tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Bale slips under a jab from Gloom. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The fighters circling - Bale throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Bale rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gloom makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gloom throws a quick inside leg kick. Gloom wants to clinch. Gloom clinches with his opponent.
Bale throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Glooms head. Gloom digs a right hand underneath Bale's ribcage. Bale let out a lung full of air as it connected. Bale blocks a body shot from Gloom. Good body shot from Gloom.
Bale wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Still in the clinch, Gloom scores with a nice short uppercut. Gloom is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Gloom tries to pull guard but Bale holds him up against the cage and eventually Gloom drops back down to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gloom misses with a body punch.
Gloom misses with a hook from the clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by Bale. Gloom lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gloom is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Bale still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Bale has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Gloom regains half guard. Bale moves nicely into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bale tries to stand but Gloom is controlling his head. Gloom is looking to regain half guard here but Bale keeps moving and retains side control. Gloom is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Bale wants to stand but Gloom is controlling his arm. Gloom tries to bench press Bale off him but Bale keeps the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gloom can't do much from the bottom here. Gloom tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bale wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Bale wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gloom keeps working. Bale remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Bale tries to stand but Gloom is controlling his head.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bale knocks Gloom to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!? Bale controls the position. Gloom wants to control but Bale postures up. Bale has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Bale misses with a two punch combination.
Gloom tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gloom moves in looking to clinch but Bale pushes him off. Bale drops his shoulder and cracks Gloom with a huge uppercut! Gloom goes down! Can Bale finish him?
Gloom is still in real trouble! Can Bale finish him? Bale controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Gloom working a defensive guard here.
Bale wants to stand but Gloom is controlling his posture from full guard. Gloom looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bale is one step ahead there. Gloom seems to have recovered his senses. Gloom seems keen to control Bale's posture. Tony Bale overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bale slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Bale trying to control the position from guard on top but Gloom is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Bale won't allow Gloom to sweep him here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gloom avoids the body shot from Bale.
OH! Gloom has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Bale smells blood and charges in for the finish! Bale unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Gloom sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tony Bale! A very excited looking Tony Bale rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
