Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nikki Sixx (ranked 1948 p4p, 237 weight class) and Ray Nathan (ranked 1006 p4p, 121 weight class). Sixx comes to the cage accompanied by Niykee Heaton. Ray Nathan has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sixx misses the shot to the body.
Nathan takes one to the chin there.
Sixx takes a swing at Nathan's ribcage but misses.
Sixx misses with a left hand
and Nathan counters with a thumping low kick.
Sixx shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nathan as he jumps to the side.
Nathan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sixx.
Sixx takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Sixx rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Nathan counters with a low kick, right behind Sixx 's knee.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sixx closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sixx is trying to control. Nathan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Sixx is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Nathan as he works his way to full guard.

Nathan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Sixx stands and throws Nathan's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Sixx wants to control but Nathan is keeping him busy.

Sixx wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Nathan, who protects the arm well.

Sixx is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Nathan will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Nathan is trying to control Sixx's posture but Sixx avoids it.

Sixx goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Nathan has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sixx but great work by Nathan.
Sixx gets back to half guard.
Sixx makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sixx.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Nathan tries to free his leg and advance position but Sixx is retaining full guard.

Sixx is trying to keep Nathan in close.
Sixx is really struggling to control Nathan but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Nathan content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sixx keeping moving, preventing Nathan from controlling successfully.
Nathan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Sixx wants to sweep but no luck.
Nathan trying to control the position from guard on top but Sixx is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Nathan chips away with some ground and pound.
Sixx not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sixx has his hands on Nathan's head, controlling the position.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Nikki Sixx will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Sixx feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Nathans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

and Nathan counters with an inside leg kick.
Sixx is trying hard to land a takedown here. Nathan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Nathan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sixx clobbers Nathan with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Sixx throws a series of punches but Nathan avoids them all with ease.

Nathan feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Sixx's calf.

Sixx shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sixx showed some decent athleticism there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Nathan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sixx pulls his head out easily.

Sixx passes to full mount!
Nathan in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Sixx is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Nathan is in real trouble.
Nikki Sixx overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Sixx gets his hands free as Nathan looks to control.

You can see the frustration on Nathan's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Nathan keeps trying to improve his position.

Sixx has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Nathan is defending well but eventually Sixx manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Nathan has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
