PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lynn Steinheiser (ranked 3360 p4p, 371 weight class) and Yukimura Gomi (ranked 7954 p4p, 621 weight class). Gomi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Peak Times by Switch. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Gomi.

Gomi gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Steinheiser gets to his feet - Gomi follows without any prompting.
Steinheiser shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gomi sprawls well. Gomi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Steinheiser gets slowly back to his feet.
Gomi connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Steinheiser shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gomi napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Gomi sneaks out the side door and pushes Steinheiser away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
