These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kronen keeps the fight on the outside.
Erik Kronen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rose closes the distance and clinches.
Kronen lands a right hand.
Kronen wants to take the fight to the mat but Rose manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Kronen can't get the takedown.
Rose tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Kronen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Rose keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kronen's efforts to push away.

Rose is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kronen lands a left and a right that send Rose crashing to the mat, dazed. Kronen thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Rose is rocked!
It looks like Merle Rose has been cut.
Rose is breathing heavily.
Kronen gets a big slam - oh, Rose is out! Rose is out! That's a nasty KO!
