Showtime comes to the cage accompanied by Old Toms Hut. Rick Showtime has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Showtime lands with a nice combination. Ahmadzai backs away looking to recover.
Showtime throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ahmadzai.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Showtime!
Showtime fails to land the takedown.
Ahmadzai throws a head kick but Showtime moves out of range.

Showtime throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ahmadzai stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Ahmadzai misses with a takedown attempt - Showtime sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Showtime throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Ahmadzai sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Showtime shoots in looking for a takedown. Ahmadzai tries to sprawl out of it but Showtime keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ahmadzai manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Showtime enables Ahmadzai to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Showtime manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Showtime is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Showtime breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Ahmadzai is trying to escape the position but Showtime is controlling the position.

Showtime dives in for a single leg takedown but Ahmadzai sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Showtime's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Showtime dives in and grabs Ahmadzai's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ahmadzai pushes down on Showtime's head and hops out.

Showtime feints with a jab and clips Ahmadzai right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Ahmadzai is sent crashing into the canvas and Showtime leaps in for the kill! Ahmadzai tries to get to his feet but Showtime is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Ahmadzai is in need of a savior and steps in!
