Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Romeo Young (ranked 8666 p4p, 0 weight class) and Van East (ranked 5756 p4p, 558 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Romeo Young! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Van East! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Young throws a head kick but East moves out of range.
Young gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Young breaks the clinch.
East shoots in but no luck this time. Young checks the leg kick. East bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. East is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Young is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Young is looking to regain half guard here but East keeps moving and retains side control. Young is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on East's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. East is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Young sees it coming and defends easily. Young pushes East off looking to stand but East dives back in and keeps control.
Young is in trouble now - East has advanced to mount! East throwing strikes here but Young is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
East with shots to the head and body - Young looks very uncomfortable down there. East throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Young because East loaded up on that one. Young really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Young looks very frustrated and is flailing away with strikes from the bottom. His corner are telling him to stay calm. Young is trying to get back to his feet but can't. East looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Young is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
East misses with a head shot. Young really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Young is squirming around, avoiding East's attempts to control the action. East blocks Young's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Young trying desperately to get to his feet.
East is working for a guillotine from mount but Young frees his head quite easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Young wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Young flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Young squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
East looking for a guillotine from mount but Young is having none of it. East tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. East is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Young can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
East stands up from mount. Strange move.
That's four minutes gone in the round. East fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Young to the ground. East is now in Young's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. East trying to control but Young is working from the bottom. East cracks Young with a solid left hand. East won't allow Young to get back to his feet. East wants to control from the top but Young keeps moving. East trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. East showing good wrestling skills to control the position. East drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Young dives on top into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Van East dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
East misses with a takedown and Young counters with a single leg into guard. East didn't expect that. East is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. East has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Young breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Young stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Young wants it to stay on the feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. East tries to keep at a distance but Young has taken the fight into the clinch. Young working hard to break the clinch. East is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Young gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Romeo Young has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Van East.
That's one minute gone in the round. Young breaks from the clinch.
East takes the fight into the clinch. Young has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by East after a bit of a struggle. Young throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Young has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Young dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. East prevents the takedown attempt.
East manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. East seems keen to control Young's posture. Young will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Young not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Young wanted to stand there but East had control of the position. East looking to control.
East pushes a forearm under Young's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Young is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
