Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mick Dunlop (ranked 3481 p4p, 447 weight class) and Corey Smith Jr (ranked 2215 p4p, 301 weight class). Smith Jr has chosen You Will Know My Name as his entrance music. Mick Dunlop has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mick Dunlop! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Corey Smith Jr! The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Eliza Hachem and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dunlop misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dunlop keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A little feinted left hand from Dunlop on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Smith Jr throws out a loose jab but Dunlop uses good head movement to avoid it. Dunlop fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Smith Jr, pushing him back against the cage. Smith Jr blocks an uppercut.
Dunlop manages to break the clinch.
Smith Jr swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Dunlop looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. A head kick misses from Dunlop. Smith Jr looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Dunlop with a nice cross. Dunlop throws a head kick but Smith Jr moves out of range.
Dunlop tries a head kick but it misses.
Dunlop takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
It looks like Mick Dunlop has been cut. Smith Jr moves out of range as Dunlop strikes. Mick Dunlop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dunlop throws a sloppy head kick and Smith Jr moves out of range easily. Smith Jr throws a counter combo. Dunlop keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dunlop moves into range and clinches up with Smith Jr. This has been an exciting period of action! Both fighters working to control the clinch. Smith Jr lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Dunlop's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Oooooh!!! Smith Jr has knocked Dunlop down with a huge combo! Smith Jr steps away and waves a wobbly Dunlop back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith Jr throws a series of punches but Dunlop avoids them all with ease. Smith Jr takes a swing at Dunlop's ribcage but misses. Dunlop throws a sloppy head kick and Smith Jr counters with a nice right hand that sends Dunlop toppling to the canvas! Dunlop scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Smith Jr finish him?!
Dunlop is rocked!
Mick Dunlop's cut is getting worse. Smith Jr misses with a straight left. Smith Jr finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Smith Jr throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dunlop. Dunlop throws a sloppy head kick and Smith Jr moves out of range easily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dunlop pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dunlop throws a sloppy head kick and Smith Jr moves out of range easily. Smith Jr looks to land a right hand but Dunlop moved out of range. Smith Jr connects with a body shot. Smith Jr scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Dunlop is breathing heavily. Dunlop blocks a leg kick. Smith Jr drops Dunlop with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Dunlop looks back up at him and smiles so Smith Jr waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Smith Jr cracks Dunlop with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Smith Jr has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Dunlop to stand back up! Oh Dunlop is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mick Dunlop's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Dunlop drops his hands momentarily. Smith Jr doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Dunlop staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Dunlop doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Corey Smith Jr! A less than humble Corey Smith Jr misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
