Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Brandon Baldwin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chong Starbowski!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starbowski throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Baldwin counters with a two punch combo.
Baldwin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
As Starbowski looks to move away, Baldwin throws a big counter combo but Starbowski just gets out of the way.
Starbowski takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Starbowski has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Starbowski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Baldwin appears to be looking for a big counter.

Baldwin went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
We've been told by Baldwin's head coaches at Big Bear Fight Factory that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Baldwin throws a sloppy head kick and Starbowski moves out of range easily.
Starbowski fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Baldwin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

It looks like Brandon Baldwin has been cut.
Baldwin thuds his right hand into Starbowski's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Starbowski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Baldwin lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

Baldwin scores with a big combo that sends Starbowski crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but the referee has seen enough as Starbowski flops around uncontrollably and he's called an end to the fight! Baldwin jumps onto the ropes and throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Gross.
