Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Smeer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oscar Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Frank Smeer has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Frank Smeer seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frank Smeer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Oscar Silva!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Mauricio Rocha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smeer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Silva to the mat! Silva manages to get full guard.
Silva has an active guard here but Smeer has managed to pass into half guard.
Silva is defending against the submission attempts here by Smeer.
Smeer passes into side control, despite Silva's attempt to control the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Silva is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smeer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Silva can't do much from the bottom here.
Check out the look on Smeer's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Smeer is working to tighten is grip on Silva's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Silva has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Smeer is really squeezing tight and eventually Silva passes out! Smeer breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
