Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Johnson (ranked 2057 p4p, 290 weight class) and Tyrano Jackson (ranked 2439 p4p, 328 weight class). Tyrano Jackson is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Tyrano Jackson has been cut.
Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown. Johnson tries to sprawl out of it but Jackson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Johnson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jackson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Johnson did well to prevent Jackson getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Johnson wants to get back to his feet.
Jackson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jackson on the ground.
Jackson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Johnson's face.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Jackson has hold of Johnson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Johnson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Jackson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Johnson tries a low kick but Jackson avoids it.

Johnson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jackson.
Johnson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jackson moves away.
Johnson lands a right hook to the body.
Johnson throws a series of punches but Jackson moves out of range.
Jackson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Jackson is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Johnson as he avoids it easily.

Anthony Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyrano Jackson.

Jackson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Johnson, who protects the arm well.

You get the feeling that Johnson really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Johnson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Jackson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Johnson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Johnson shrugs it off.

Jackson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Johnson has worked his arm free - good work by Johnson!

Johnson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Jackson asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Johnson is holding Jackson down, trying to stall.
Johnson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Johnson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

That was a close second round but I would say that Anthony Johnson will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jackson.
We've been told by Johnson's head coaches at Roosters Coop that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Johnson cracks Jackson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Johnson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Jackson to stand back up!

Jackson tries to get into range but Johnson steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Jackson! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Johnson scores the big KO victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Anthony Johnson!
