Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Elroy Bernard (ranked 8933 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mika Imonen (ranked 5784 p4p, 0 weight class). Imonen has chosen Another One bites the Dust as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Imonen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Imonen tries to clinch but Bernard is having none of it.
Bernard keeps the fight on the outside.
Bernard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Imonen rushes Bernard and presses him up against the cage.
Bernard breaks the clinch.
Imonen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bernard's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bernard looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Bernard will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Imonen tries to stand but Bernard is controlling from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Imonen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Bernard fails to land with a series of punches.
Mika Imonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Imonen closes the distance and clinches.
Imonen turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Bernard is trying to control Imonen's posture but Imonen avoids it.
Bernard is trying to get back to half guard.
Imonen tries to stand but Bernard is controlling his head.

Imonen stands up.
No joy there for Bernard, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bernard avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Imonen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bernard, pushing him back against the cage.
Bernard takes a shot to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Imonen breaks the clinch.
Nice jab there from Imonen.
Imonen moves into the clinch successfully.
Bernard gets control of Imonen's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bernard will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Imonen tries to stand but Bernard is controlling from the bottom.

Imonen wants to stand and escape but instead Bernard has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Imonen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Bernard decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
The fight stays on the outside here - Imonen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Imonen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bernard did well to prevent Imonen getting side control.

Imonen wants to stand and escape but instead Bernard has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Bernard controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Imonen wants to stand up but Bernard is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mika Imonen will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!

Bernard is looking to counter the offense by Imonen and move into the clinch.
Bernard avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Imonen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Imonen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Bernard manages to get back to half guard.
Bernard regains full guard. Nicely done.

Bernard has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Bernard wants to hit a switch here but Imonen passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Bernard there!
Imonen tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Imonen's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Bernard is looking to improve his position but Imonen isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Imonen stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Bernard takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Oh Bernard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Imonen has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bernard misses with the head strike.
Imonen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Imonen has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Imonen darts in and clinches Bernard up against the cage.
Imonen has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Bernard - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Imonen, and another! Bernard is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Mika Imonen!
A relieved looking Mika Imonen thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
