Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bessandro Kennelly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kevin Lee! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee tries to clinch there but Kennelly circles away.
Kennelly throws a nice looking combination but Lee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kennelly throws an off balance right hand
and Lee counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Kennelly lands a right hand. Knees in the clinch landing for Kennelly.
Lee has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Kennelly clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Kennelly wants to escape the position.
Kennelly wants to get back to his feet. Lee is punishing Kennelly with some ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lee scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Kennelly is looking for a way out. Lee controlling well, preventing Kennelly from escaping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. A bit of a pause in the action here. Lee controlling the positon. Kennelly trying to control the action but Lee just sinks the hooks in. Lee controls the position. Kennelly rolls, trying to escape but Lee keeps control of the position.
Lee slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Lee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lee's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Kennelly wants to escape the position.

Lee gets his hands free as Kennelly looks to control. Kennelly is breathing heavily. Lee controls the position. Kennelly is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Kennelly might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kennelly takes a big shot to the side of the head.

Kevin Lee dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kennelly rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lee moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bessandro Kennelly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kennelly tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lee paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kennelly fails in his attempt to clinch. Lee fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kennelly checks it well. Some wild striking there from Kennelly.

Lee manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kennelly on his heels. He'll look to pass Kennelly's guard now, I'm sure. Lee is standing up over Kennelly. Kennelly looks to escape but Lee dives into side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kennelly is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kennelly takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Lee has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Let's hope that Lee has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Kevin Lee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Lee feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lee is in close to Kennelly's body, working some short punches and elbows. Kennelly is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kennelly is looking to sweep but instead, Lee has passed into half guard.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Lee. Lee lands a couple of good shots and Kennelly has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Lee is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Lee has good solid back control here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lee has the hooks in. Kennelly is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lee really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Kennelly. Lee is not going to allow Kennelly to sit and survive in this position. Kennelly is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Lee.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lee controlling the position well here. Kennelly rolled but Lee kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
