Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Abdulla Al Hassan (ranked 25100 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Hiller (ranked 5040 p4p, 0 weight class). Hiller has chosen Rush and Run - Shake and Jump as his entrance music. Al Hassan has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abdulla Al Hassan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Erik Hiller!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hiller shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Hiller content to control rather than advance.
Hiller winds up and cracks Al Hassan with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Hiller stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hiller passes the guard and advances to mount!

Hiller tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Hiller lands a heavy elbow.
Hiller postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Al Hassan looks a forlorn figure.
Al Hassan is bucking up trying to escape but Hiller cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Hiller tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Hiller's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Al Hassan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hiller on the ground.
Hiller pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Al Hassan has left one of his arms exposed and Hiller doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Al Hassan screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Erik Hiller!
A pretty intense looking Erik Hiller took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
