The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Michael Johnstone and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkanovski moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Volkanovski lands the left hand.

and Farooqi counters with a shoot takedown. Volkanovski fights it but they end up in guard.
Farooqi wants to pass the guard but Volkanovski is keeping the position.
Volkanovski is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Volkanovski is looking to clinch but Farooqi is avoiding it.

Farooqi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Volkanovski manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Farooqi has Volkanovski in his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Abdul Farooqi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Volkanovski tries to throw a body punch but Farooqi avoids it by throwing Volkanovski back against the cage.
