The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nihil throws a jab but it's blocked by Volkihar.
Volkihar changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Nihil misses with a head kick.
Nihil throws a sloppy head kick and Volkihar moves out of range easily.
Volkihar slips a jab and a cross from Nihil.
Nihil looks to land a right hand but Volkihar moved out of range.
Volkihar dodges the punch combination from Nihil.
Volkihar gets a takedown into half guard.
Volkihar working over Nihil with some ground and pound. Nihil looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Nihil really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Volkihar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Volkihar is thwarting Nihil's attempts to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nihil is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Volkihar scores with a couple of nice shots.
Volkihar winds up and cracks Nihil with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Volkihar drops an elbow to the side of Nihil's head.
Nihil is rocked!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nihil can do anything to dispel that myth.
Volkihar is nestled in close to Nihil, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Nihil is still in real trouble! Can Volkihar finish him?
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Volkihar lands a nice short elbow.
Volkihar lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Nihil quite badly. Nihil pulls Volkihar in close trying to recover. Volkihar postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Nihil on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Nihil doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Harkon Volkihar!
A very excited looking Harkon Volkihar rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
