Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Von Cranial (ranked 696 p4p, 75 weight class) and Poro Peukalo (ranked 891 p4p, 97 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Von Cranial!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Poro Peukalo!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Cranial.
Peukalo lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cranial at a distance.
Peukalo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cranial moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Peukalo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cranial has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cranial there as he acknowledges the shot.
Cranial paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Cranial has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Hellfire Antechamber in the buildup to the fight.
Cranial ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Peukalo moves away.
The fighters circling - Cranial throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Cranial fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Peukalo moves forwards but Cranial connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Peukalo punishes Cranial's body with a nice straight punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Peukalo drives through and clinches with Cranial against the cage.
Peukalo lands an elbow inside.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Peukalo takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Peukalo avoiding damage.
Cranial swings wildly with an uppercut but Peukalo uses good head movement to avoid it.

Cranial takes an elbow to the forehead.
Peukalo holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Cranial working aggressively here.
Cranial tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Cranial avoids the elbow strike from Peukalo, against the cage.
Peukalo lands with a left to the head.
Cranial pushes Peukalo back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Cranial has a couple of punches blocked by Peukalo.
Peukalo has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Cranial seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Peukalo can turn it around.

Cranial lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Peukalo backwards.
Cranial tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Peukalo's elbow.

Peukalo pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Cranial gets through Peukalo's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Peukalo tries to throw a body punch but Cranial avoids it by throwing Peukalo back against the cage.

Cranial dodges an elbow strike from Peukalo.
Cranial works on Peukalo's body with a couple of short punches.

Cranial breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cranial throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Poro Peukalo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cranial misses with the combination.
Cranial keeps the fight on the outside.
Cranial avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Peukalo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Cranial tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Peukalo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Cranial moves forwards but Peukalo connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Peukalo throws a poor cross that misses
and Cranial counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Peukalo looks to land a left hand but Cranial moved out of range nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Von Cranial will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Von Cranial's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Peukalo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Cranial back to the cage. Peukalo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Peukalo closes the distance and clinches.
Cranial tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Peukalo looks to throw an elbow but misses.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Cranial.

Cranial escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Peukalo misses with a straight right.
Peukalo misses the jab.
Peukalo swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Cranial to counter with a crisp jab.
Von Cranial is winning the standup battle so far.
Cranial keeps the fight on the outside.
Cranial feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Peukalo's calf.
Peukalo on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Cranial closes the distance and pushes Peukalo back into the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Cranial goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Peukalo has a couple of punches blocked by Cranial.
Peukalo taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Peukalo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cranial turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Cranial swats away the attempt to clinch by Peukalo.

and Cranial counters with a stiff right hand.
Poro Peukalo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Peukalo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Peukalo has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Cranial.

Peukalo throws a combination that misses
and Cranial counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Peukalo is breathing heavily.
Peukalo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cranial.
Peukalo misses with a jab, cross combination.
A chopping leg kick lands by Cranial.
Peukalo on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Cranial. Cranial obviously looking to wear him down.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Some bone on bone action there as Peukalo checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Cranial throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Peukalo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Peukalo moves in looking to clinch but Cranial pushes him off.
Peukalo throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Cranial to counter with a crisp jab.
Peukalo throws a right and a left that both miss.
A combination from Peukalo does no damage.

Cranial feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Peukalo sprawling to the canvas! Peukalo rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Cranial finish him?!


Peukalo is rocked!


It looks like Poro Peukalo has been cut.
Cranial staying out of range there.

Cranial pushes Peukalo up against the cage in a clinch.
Peukalo prevents a body shot from Cranial.
Peukalo tries to throw a body punch but Cranial avoids it by throwing Peukalo back against the cage.
Cranial blocks an elbow strike from Peukalo.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Peukalo in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
Cranial tries to work over Peukalo's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Peukalo tries a body shot but Cranial blocks it.
Peukalo wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Cranial breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Peukalo wants to clinch.
Cranial is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Peukalo can do to turn this around?

Cranial drops Peukalo with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Peukalo looks back up at him and smiles so Cranial waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Peukalo is still on wobbly legs! Can Cranial finish him?
Cranial jabs Peukalo to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Peukalo seems to have recovered his senses.
Cranial tries to clinch up but Peukalo circles away and keeps his distance.
A combination from Peukalo does no damage.
Cranial lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Cranial blocks a jab.
It looked like Cranial was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Peukalo smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Cranial feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Peukalo sprawling to the canvas! Peukalo rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Cranial finish him?!
Cranial walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Cranial drops Peukalo with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Peukalo! Cranial dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Von Cranial!
Von Cranial tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
