Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Mayhem (ranked 87 p4p, 15 weight class) and Murha Pate (ranked 214 p4p, 36 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryan Mayhem! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Murha Pate! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mayhem swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Pate ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Mayhem fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pate. Pate throws a jab when Mayhem was well out of range. Mayhem half committed to a counter leg kick. Mayhem bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pate's head backwards. Pate scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mayhem doesn't seem bothered though. Pate looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Pate cracks Mayhem with an open hand slap. Mayhem moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Mayhem throws a big shot that misses. Mayhem looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mayhem avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bryan Mayhem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mayhem connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Mayhem scores with a nice head shot. Mayhem throws an ugly left hook that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Mayhem misses the jab. Pate scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mayhem shoots for a double leg takedown but Pate sprawls well. He's pushed Mayhem's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A little jabbing left from Pate on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pate, as that shot connected.
Mayhem misses with a low kick. Mayhem lands a leg kick that knocks Pate off balance momentarily. Mayhem tries to move into range but Pate moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Mayhem is rocked! Pate keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Pate drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Mayhem right on the button. Mayhem goes down! Pate follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Pate gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Murha Pate! Murha Pate is the new light heavyweight champion! Murha Pate seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
