Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brendan Weston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Cannon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brendan Weston! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cannon on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Weston misses with a series of wild punches.
Cannon fails to land the takedown. Cannon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Weston but Weston pushes him off and we're back to square one. Weston lands with an uppercut that bounces Cannon off the cage and back into rage. Cannon clinches. Cannon changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Weston fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Cannon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cannon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Cannon tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Weston is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Cannon wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Weston, who protects the arm well. Weston tries to buck Cannon off but Cannon is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weston misses with an elbow from the bottom. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Weston has eaten all the pies! Weston is letting Cannon control him for a moment. Cannon blocks the strikes from Weston.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cannon in side control lands a decent elbow. Weston is looking for a sweep. Cannon is breathing heavily. Weston striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Weston is trying to get back to half guard. Weston misses with a strike from the bottom. Weston is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Cannon is controlling him well. Weston tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cannon on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Weston goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Cannon has a takedown stuffed. Weston with a nice cross. Weston looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Weston works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Weston scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Nice shot by Weston. Brendan Weston is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Weston bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cannon's head. Cannon walks into a left hand. Cannon uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Weston. Weston lands with an overhand left. Cannon missing with a left hand there. Weston was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A decent looking cross lands there for Weston. Cannon defending well as Weston loads up on a big left hand. Weston throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Cannon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Weston but Weston pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Cannon rushes Weston and presses him up against the cage. Cannon has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Weston uses from the top position. Cannon is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Weston throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Weston fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cannon looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Cannon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Weston manages to avoid it. Cannon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Weston but Weston pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Weston paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Weston cracks Cannon with an open hand slap. Weston goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Brendan Weston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cannon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Cannon wants to pass the guard but Weston is keeping the position. Weston is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Cannon stands and throws Weston's legs to the side, diving into side control. Cannon moves into full mount! Cannon working Weston over with strikes here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cannon shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Nice sprawl there from Weston as Cannon shoots in. Weston slips a jab and a cross from Cannon.
A jab lands there for Weston. Cannon takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Weston throws a right and a left that Cannon avoids nicely. Cannon staying out of range there. Weston lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Cannon backs up against the cage.
Cannon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Cannon is looking to take a break and control but Weston is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cannon decides to stand back up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cannon throws out a loose jab but Weston uses good head movement to avoid it. Cannon has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cannon there as he acknowledges the shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weston moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Cannon blocks a head kick by Weston.
Cannon fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Cannon looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Weston lands a jab. Cannon shoots for a double leg takedown but Weston sprawls well. He's pushed Cannon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Cannon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cannon looks for a takedown but Weston sprawls well. Weston really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cannon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Weston thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Cannon works a leg free and moves into half guard. Cannon working over Weston with some ground and pound. Weston looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Weston punching from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Weston can do anything to dispel that myth. Weston wants to get back to his feet. Cannon is working for a kimura but Weston is defending it quite comfortably.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Weston swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Weston sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Weston won't allow Cannon to pass to mount. Cannon throws a sloppy head kick and Weston moves out of range easily. Cannon looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Weston lands a nice looking body shot.

Weston throws out a powerful jab. Weston scores with a jab to the jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cannon takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Cannon decides to stand up. Weston keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Weston tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Brendan Weston has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

David Cannon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cannon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Weston circles away. Weston lands a jab to the nose. Cannon feints and then cracks Weston's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Weston down. Cannon throws a right and a left that both miss. Weston throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Cannon checks a leg kick. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Weston, as that shot connected.
Cannon lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Weston backs up against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Weston throws a head kick that misses. Cannon instigates a clinch. Cannon has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Weston regains guard immediately. Cannon stands and throws Weston's legs to the side, diving into side control. Cannon works to advance to full mount. Weston defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Cannon connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

And that's the end of the fight! David Cannon showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cannon, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
