Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Kush (ranked 5868 p4p, 566 weight class) and Cliff Marcelian (ranked 23957 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Kush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cliff Marcelian!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Franklyn Lucas and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marcelian shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kush as he jumps to the side.
It looked like Kush was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Marcelian.
Marcelian fails to land the takedown.
Kush leaves Marcelian with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jason Kush has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cliff Marcelian.
Horrible takedown attempt by Marcelian or perhaps it was just good defense by Kush, which made it look bad.
Kush tries to counter with a takedown but Marcelian is quick to defend against it.

Kush shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Marcelian is trying to defend but Kush finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Marcelian can do anything to dispel that myth.
Marcelian wants to stand and escape but Kush is having none of it.
Marcelian is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Marcelian shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kush as he avoids it easily.
Marcelian goes for a double leg but Kush avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kush continues to drive forward.

Kush tries to get to full guard but Marcelian has control of the leg.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Marcelian connects with a nice short shot to Kush's temple.
Well, if Marcelian is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Kush is in trouble now - Marcelian has advanced to mount!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Marcelian is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kush can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Marcelian tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Marcelian cracks Kush with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Marcelian postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kush looks a forlorn figure.
Kush wants to control but Marcelian is having none of it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Marcelian has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kush's face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cliff Marcelian showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Kush is wriggling around trying to escape.

The referee warns Kush that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Marcelian cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Oh Kush is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Marcelian is landing with some decent strikes but Kush is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Marcelian has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
