Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shahwali Hussainzada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Adylbek Beyshengaziev!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hussainzada closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Beyshengaziev to the mat! Beyshengaziev manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beyshengaziev is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hussainzada looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Hussainzada tries to stand but Beyshengaziev is controlling from the bottom.
Hussainzada wants to control from the top but Beyshengaziev keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beyshengaziev escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hussainzada gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hussainzada drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hussainzada jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Hussainzada stands up over Beyshengaziev, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Hussainzada passes Beyshengaziev's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Beyshengaziev is trying to get back to full guard.
Hussainzada is thwarting Beyshengaziev's attempts to control the position.
Hussainzada is trying to control the action in half guard but Beyshengaziev is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Beyshengaziev pushes Hussainzada off looking to stand but Hussainzada dives back in and keeps control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hussainzada content to control rather than advance.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Beyshengaziev is looking to escape.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Hussainzada fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Beyshengaziev, pushing him back against the cage.
Beyshengaziev is trying to pull guard but Hussainzada turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Hussainzada breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hussainzada closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Beyshengaziev quickly recovers to half guard.
Beyshengaziev tries to get to full guard but Hussainzada has control of the leg.
Hussainzada is thwarting Beyshengaziev's attempts to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hussainzada slows the pace down in half guard.
Beyshengaziev is trying to get back to full guard.
Beyshengaziev is not content to let Hussainzada control the position.
Hussainzada is looking to advance position but Beyshengaziev won't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Beyshengaziev is looking to improve his position.
Beyshengaziev trying to control from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Hussainzada misses with a body kick.
Beyshengaziev lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Beyshengaziev shoots in looking for a takedown but Hussainzada manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Beyshengaziev's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Beyshengaziev fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Shahwali Hussainzada has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adylbek Beyshengaziev.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hussainzada keeps the fight on the outside.
Hussainzada tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Beyshengaziev has a takedown stuffed.
Horrible takedown attempt by Beyshengaziev or perhaps it was just good defense by Hussainzada, which made it look bad.

Hussainzada shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Beyshengaziev manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Hussainzada wanted to stand there but Beyshengaziev had control of the position.
Hussainzada is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Beyshengaziev can do to turn this around?

Beyshengaziev is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Hussainzada has his hands clasped together but Beyshengaziev extends and breaks Hussainzada's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Beyshengaziev.
