Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Max Handle (ranked 2887 p4p, 334 weight class) and Grisha Kamenov (ranked 1551 p4p, 201 weight class). Handle comes to the cage accompanied by Right On. Kamenov is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Linkin Park - Bleed It Out. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

15 - 10 - 3, fighting out of New York, Grisha Kamenov! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Handle looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kamenov! Handle working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
It looks like Grisha Kamenov has been cut. Handle looks up at the clock and then as Kamenov takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Handle smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Kamenov is looking to regain half guard here but Handle keeps moving and retains side control. Handle is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kamenov has escaped the position, nice work there. Handle tries to score with some ground and pound. Kamenov controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Kamenov defending against the ground and pound. Kamenov is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Handle off and has taken his back! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kamenov looking for the choke from the back. Kamenov is not going to allow Handle to sit and survive in this position. Handle defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Handle preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Kamenov. We've been hearing good reports from Handle's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Kamenov actively working from the bottom here. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Handle throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kamenov is trying to control but can't.
Kamenov has hold of Handle's hands but Handle slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That has opened up Grisha Kamenov's cut even more.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Grisha Kamenov's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
