Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mikihail Gustov (ranked 5936 p4p, 562 weight class) and Pasha Mista (ranked 6363 p4p, 583 weight class). Pasha Mista will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Dmitry Maklakov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mista tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gustov swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Mista!
A punch combination from Gustov misses.
Gustov defending well as Mista loads up on a big left hand.
Mista connects with a leg kick. Gustov looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Gustov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mista shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gustov as he jumps to the side.
Mista closes the distance and clinches.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mista tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Gustov avoids it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mista with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Mista content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Gustov wants to get back to his feet but Mista is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Mista is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gustov is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gustov has escaped and now he's on top!
Mista not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mista is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Mista prevents Gustov from improving his position.
Gustov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mista is working away from the top position though.

Mista looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gustov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Mista is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Mista working over Gustov with some ground and pound. Gustov looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Gustov is trying to stand up here but Mista is controlling him well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mista seems to be working for a kimura but Gustov defends the submission attempt.

Gustov holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mista working over Gustov with some ground and pound. Gustov looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Pasha Mista dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Gustov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mista paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A slapping body kick lands there for Mista.
Pasha Mista seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gustov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Good leg kick by Mista there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
We've been informed that Mista has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Mista connects with a solid leg kick.
Mista tries a low kick but Gustov avoids it.
Mista fails to land with a series of punches.
Mista throws a head kick that misses.
Gustov takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Mista moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mista has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Mista fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Gustov is out of range.
Gustov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mista, pushing him back against the cage.

Gustov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mista fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gustov to the ground. Mista is now in Gustov's guard.
Gustov manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Gustov gets a double leg takedown into Mista's guard.
Gustov pushes down on Mista's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mista wants to control but Gustov is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Mista has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Gustov is on him like a limpet, forcing Mista back against the cage.

Gustov in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Mista tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Gustov!
