The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jonathan Paton and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laibon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Smith was well out of range. Poor timing from Laibon.
Tembo Laibon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Laibon fails in his attempt to clinch.
Smith wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Smith gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Smith is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Smith for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Laibon tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Smith smiles and moves away.
Smith avoids the body shot from Laibon.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Laibon takes a swing at Smith's ribcage but misses.
Smith seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Smith swats away the attempt to clinch by Laibon.
Smith closes the distance and pushes Laibon back into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith lands a nice uppercut.
A right hand to the body from Smith.
Smith lands a body punch.
Laibon manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Laibon is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Smith frees his head nicely. Oh but Laibon has switched to an armbar! Smith is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
