Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Dee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dee has chosen One Dimension as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Steve Holt could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Juan Dee's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Steve Holt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan Dee! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holt fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Holt misses the shot to the body. A clash of legs there as Dee blocks the low kick. Dee dodges the punch combination from Holt.
Holt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dee tries to avoid it but Holt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dee to the ground. Dee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Holt misses with a wild body shot. Steve Holt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dee feints and as Holt raises his hands in defense, Dee changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Dee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Holt swivels though and keeps the full guard. Holt doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Dee trying to control the position from guard on top but Holt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Holt looking for a sweep. Not yet Holt, not yet. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Holt is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dee looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Holt is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Holt wants to control from the top but Dee keeps moving. Holt throwing strikes but missing. Dee is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Dee controls Holt momentarily but Holt frees himself. Dee should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Dee managing to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dee looking for a guillotine here but Holt defends easily.
Dee trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Dee is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Holt trying to control but Dee is working from the bottom. Dee controls Holt momentarily but Holt frees himself. Dee is pulling down on Holt's head to control his posture. Holt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Holt pushing down on Dee's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Dee wants to control but Holt is keeping busy.
Holt wants to take a breather but Dee is having none of it. Dee wants to improve his position but Holt is controlling well.
Holt slows the pace down in half guard. Dee has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Holt is working away from the top position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Holt looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Dee trying to control from the bottom.
Despite being in the dominant position, Juan Dee just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Holt fails with the takedown. Dee shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Holt counters with a good low kick that Dee was not able to check. Dee shoots and misses and Holt counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Holt just misses with a punch to the body.
Dee shoots in and bounces Holt off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Holt looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Juan Dee will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Holt fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Holt is looking to wear down Dee with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Holt shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Holt was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Holt punching from mount but Dee doing a good job of avoiding damage. Holt avoids the attempt from Dee to control. Dee is trying desperately to improve position. Dee wants to hold on but Holt pushes him away. Dee takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Holt throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Dee because Holt loaded up on that one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dee tries to lock up and control but Holt gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Holt sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Holt avoids the attempt from Dee to control. Holt lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Dee hang on? Holt thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Holt throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Holt sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Dee sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Dee tries to roll over but Holt keeps him under control. Dee keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Dee wants to improve his position but Holt is controlling well.

Holt has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Dee pulls Holt in close to his closed guard and prevents Holt from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dee bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Holt's guard. Dee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Holt swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dee slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Holt working a defensive guard but Dee passes into half guard.
Holt throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Dee is trying to control. Holt wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Dee is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Holt! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Holt is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dee raining down shots from the mount! Holt throwing hammer fists to the chest of Dee. What's that going to do exactly? Holt wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Dee working for a choke but Holt is defending well. Holt preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Dee. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Holt is trying to break free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Juan Dee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Holt thows a body shot but no joy. Holt moves out of range of the body kick. Dee closes the distance but Holt moves to the side and Holt counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Dee is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Holt is trying to control. Dee wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Holt throwing shots but Dee is blocking nicely. Holt is looking for a kimura here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dee makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dee. Dee manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Dee looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Holt is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dee has control of Holt's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Holt regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Dee can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Holt is looking to escape. Dee is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Holt is surviving well by controlling Dee's body position as best he can. Dee trying to control but Holt is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dee throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Holt throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. A nice elbow there by Dee. Steve Holt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dee controlling his opponent. Juan Dee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dee tries to control but Holt wriggling away. Dee controlling from mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that's the end of the fight! Juan Dee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Dee winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
