The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joieson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Williams cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Joieson tries to clinch but Williams moves away
and Williams counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Joieson shoots in for a takedown but Williams shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Wayne Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Connor Joieson.

and Williams counters with a nice uppercut.
Joieson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Williams is fending him off so far but Joieson persists. Nope, Williams circles away and we're back to standing.

Williams bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Joieson's head backwards.

Joieson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Williams pinned against the cage. Williams gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Williams connects with a combination that backs up Joieson into the cage. Williams lands a flurry of punches that gets past Joieson's guard. Joieson is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Williams bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
