Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Luke Trendall (ranked 5761 p4p, 416 weight class) and Andy Clark (ranked 5704 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Luke Trendall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andy Clark! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clark shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Trendall sprawls well. Trendall wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Clark gets slowly back to his feet. Clark fails with the takedown and Trendall counters with a lovely straight right hand! Trendall gets a takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Clark holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Clark wants to control but Trendall is keeping busy and won't allow it. Clark wants to improve his position but Trendall is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trendall tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Clark trying to control but Trendall postures up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Trendall buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Trendall throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Clark was covering up waiting for the punch and Trendall finishes the takedown easily into guard. Clark manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Trendall manages to get himself to full guard.
Clark connects with a couple of short punches. Clark with a nice head shot there. Clark slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Trendall knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Clark on the ground. It looks like Clark might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clark is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Trendall can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Clark controls the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Let's hope that Clark has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Trendall really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Trendall has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Clark can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Clark is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Clark is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Trendall is trying to get back to his feet. Trendall is trying to escape the position but Clark is controlling the position. Trendall on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Trendall tries to get out of the position. Trendall tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

Clark raining down shots from the mount! Clark sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Clark postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Trendall looks a forlorn figure.

Clark controlling the pace for now. Andy Clark has got the better of the ground game so far. Clark lands with some strikes. Clark takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Trendall wants to hold on but Clark pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Clark controlling from mount. Clark has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Trendall's face.

Andy Clark showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Trendall shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Clark napping and manages to drive through into side control! Clark gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Clark is holding on to half guard well. The fighters are battling for position here. Clark manages to regain full guard. Nice work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Clark managing to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Clark looking to hit a scissor sweep but Trendall is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clark bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Trendall's guard. Clark connects with a couple of short punches. Clark controls from within his opponent's guard. Clark scoring with some ground and pound.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. No luck with that takedown attempt from Clark.

Clark closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Trendall's guard. Trendall wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Clark manages to pass to side control. Trendall is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Clark's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Clark's back! Clark manages to reverse the position and now he's in Trendall's guard. Nice work there by Clark.

And that's the end of the fight! Andy Clark comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Clark has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
