Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wilbur Pickett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nikola Markovic! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pickett tries to clinch but Markovic moves out of range. Markovic shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Markovic scores with a decent looking hook. A slow jab from Markovic misses its intended target. Pickett looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Pickett moves into the clinch. Pickett wants to take the fight to the mat but Markovic manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Pickett breaks from the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Markovic throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pickett. Markovic pushes Pickett up against the cage in a clinch. Markovic lands with a short shot to the head. Markovic effectively controlling the action here. A left hand lands to the body for Markovic.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pickett misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Markovic breaks the clinch.
Markovic swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Pickett. Markovic looks to land a combination but Pickett avoids it well. Markovic looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Markovic throws a right hand that Pickett ducks under and follows up with a left that Pickett also avoids with ease. Pickett tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Markovic paws at him with a jab and circles away. Pickett really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Markovic throws a right hand that Pickett ducks under and follows up with a left that Pickett also avoids with ease. Markovic will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Markovic throws a series of punches but Pickett avoids them all with ease. Pickett fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Markovic avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wilbur Pickett. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Markovic connects with a right that clearly hurt Pickett. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Markovic proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Pickett collapses and taps out under the pressure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nikola Markovic! Our winner, Nikola Markovic, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
