Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonhson moves in looking to clinch but Graves pushes him off.
Jonhson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Graves tries to avoid it but Jonhson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Graves to the ground. Graves escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ernest Graves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jonhson.
Jonhson tries to clinch but Graves is having none of it.
Graves throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jonhson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
As Graves backs off Jonhson throws a huge counter combo but Graves manages to avoid it all.
Graves dips to his left and cracks Jonhson with an uppercut!

Graves scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jonhson doesn't seem bothered though.
Graves throws a lazy right hand but Jonhson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Graves lands a really nice looking cross but Jonhson seems unphased.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Graves lands with a hook. Jonhson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
We've been hearing reports that Graves has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Graves stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Graves is posturing up here but Jonhson has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Graves tries to roll out but it's too tight and Graves has to tap! Slick submission there by Jonhson!
